Basically, it’s about this Dad (Clooney), who lives in Hawaii, who’s life is falling apart. His wife got into an accident and is in a coma for the whole movie. He has to deal with his unruly daughters. And, there’s this whole debate about what should happen to this preserved land that his family is going to sell, but he gets the final say.
It’s definitely a deep movie, but it’s acted so well. It pulled me in, and Clooney really is a good actor. I’d only ever seen him in Up In the Air before this. Woodley played a very different character than her Secret Life character. She was swearing, drinking, etc.
Go watch it, but P.S. it’s rated R.
