I heard it was good. And it was.
I could never really tell what the movie was about from the trailers, but basically, Bradley Cooper plays the main character, Pat, who has bipolar disorder. The disorder went undiagnosed, and when he found his wife cheating on him and went ballistic and ended up in a psych ward. At the start of the movie, is released from the psychiatric facility, and he goes to live with his parents. The movie is sent outside of Philly, and his father is an Eagles fanatic. Pat is convinced that he will get his wife Nikki back. Along the way, he meets Tiffany who is a young widow. They’re both a bit crazy and they learn to cope with their issues together.
The description doesn’t sound like anything special, but the delivery by the actors is awesome. The movie is a great balance of funny and serious. The characters are lovably flawed. I really loved the videography. The shots were pretty cool. I really liked the one show where it zoomed away quickly, as if a character was carrying away the camera from the scene. Jennifer Lawrence was awesome! And so was Bradley Cooper.
I definitely recommend you go see it. I’m not sure what else there is to say…
